Perhaps it is my mother's much anticipated visit that is gettting me into the Christmas spirit so early...
Maybe it is the brutal cold and the light dusting of snow?
What ever it is, I couldn't help but go into the shops to share some Christmastime magic with you. Please don't think I have jumped the gun too much, I know it isn't even Thanksgiving yet.
The decorations are being hung everywhere around Oslo and the smaller surrounding areas. The children are already clamouring to get a tree. I love the tree, the scent, bringing a bit of nature's beauty into our home, etc, but I don't like the needles all over the floor!
So we will wait a bit before we get our tree. I fancy this gorgeous sweater under it... for me! Aren't those fabulous cables? If I didn't have the huge list of knitting projects that I would like to get done before Christmas, I would be considering making a sweater something like this beauty.
Thanks so much to Zanz for letting me take photos today to my heart's content! All the photos are from this lovely interior decorating shop in Lillestrøm, right outside of Oslo.
No it's not too early! I'm in an early Christmas mood too. What a lovely shop, and that sweater is gorgoues!

These are beautiful photos! Thanks for sharing--and thanks to Zanz for allowing you to. Makes me more amenable to early Christmas decorating to see such special ornaments.
Have a wonderful week! Stay warm.

I start decorating gradually on Dec 1st. One or two things put up then wait a day and put up, maybe 5 things, etc. If I toss it all up at the same time, I get tired of it sooo fast. It all comes down at once on New Years Day.
Zanz sure has some beautiful ornaments shown in unusual ways. They look great.
A Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.

What beautiful photos! Thanks for sharing them with us. While I complain about the holiday decorations filling the store shelves before Halloween, I also love to browse for items in speciality shops (like the one you visited) all year round. Apparently, there's no pleasing me on this one. We're expecting a houseful for Thanksgiving, then we all bake our Christmas cookies on Friday and Saturday. So I'll start decorating the house on Monday, with the tree arriving on the 6th! Have a relaxing, memorable Thanksgiving!
