Lilly and I dug out our watercolors and jar of brushes, filled up some glasses of water and got some paint brushes wet recently.
We sat for a long time together enjoying the painting and eachother's company. I think I got tired and was ready to quit before she was.
The theme of the day seemed to end up being mushrooms and caterpillars. I love it how she watches me and imitates but embellishes with her own style.
What a lovely Sunday activity! And you are both so talented!

Love the mushrooms! Now where are our water paints?

Lately Amira has grasped the idea that pencils leave marks, and we have had some fun coloring together too. As much as I don't want her to grow, I can't wait to see her creations when she reaches your daughter's age. Those big mushrooms are inspiring!

If only more of us took the time to sit and paint polka dotted mushrooms...

TizDuster said exactly what I was thinking - that you were now designing fabric! It is a lovely day when you can sit and enjoy each others company. Tell Lilly I love her mushrooms - she's done some good work.
Hugs to you both
