A very nice little someone rather reluctantly agreed to put on the hat I made form myself so I could take some pictures of it.
I think she wanted to play instead.
The photo session lasted about 5 seconds and staying remotely still didn't seem to be possible.
It ended up being fun in the end. She pretended to eat the poisonous berries from the bushes and we laughed and laughed at her naughtiness. As my mother would say: "Oh, wicked one!"
I didn't use a pattern for the hat and it does seem to fit Lilly better than me.
We are sure loving what must be the most beautiful fall ever in Norway. The leaves aren't going to be hanging on much longer though. I am braced for 5 months of dark, grey and cold. Making things with my joyously colorful fabrics, your constant and delightful visits to my blog, the laughter of my children and my husband's sense of humor should help me though coming winter. Bring it on! (I have two hats ready now, so I am prepared.) I will have photos of hat number two soon I hope!
Wishing you a fabulous weekend!
She looks beautiful in that hat. You will have to give it to her.

The others are right the hat colour is beautiful with her eyes.
Everything I knit gets taken by my kids....probably because I make everything too small!

That is one little cutie wearing your hat, which by the way turned out beautiful. I can't believe you made that without a pattern. I'm bracing for winter too...ugh.

And that hat is gorgeous with that star symbol at the back! I've seen the way of making it in a new book of a friend and I'd like to try!

I love the colour of the hat. For such a short photo session, what beautiful pictures you got. Or else your daughter is herself just beautiful.

Hi Emily, I found you trough Sandra's blog where you left a comment, and here you are making such lovely "stuff". Great choice of fabric!

You see Emily, it all starts right there. This is only the beginning. Each time I knit myself a hat it goes. It goes to one of my three sweet kids who love momma's hats more than their own. I love that. It starts with "I'm just trying it on" and then progresses to walking out the door.
Your sweet girl looks beautiful in her momma's hat. I knit myself a new hat this weekend and it went back to college with daughter number 2. ;)

Thank you for your nice comment. Very fine to hear from Oslo. I have itchy feet to the north (hope the translation is correct-sounds funny) and it has become worse, since i stayed in sweden this summer. Many greetings and a nice time, Ute
