Just recently it was looking like this outside, pretty and fall-like:
Last Friday though we were surprised to wake up to this:
(I am behind as usual in my posts!) My husband has taken some vacation time this week and it has meant lazy and cozy days... Anyway, it took awhile to get anywere last Friday morning becuase the fresh, fluffy, cold, white stuff was such a novelty!
You can't beat snow for a good time!
It packed up nicely and really stuck onto her mittens.
I have been delighting in all the cold weather by being home and doing a bit of crafting.
I made this wee mini-quilt just for fun.
And Emma, (sorry she is now on her way to one of my supportive blog readers who said she couldn't resist...) with the pretty blue eyes I made too. She is my newest addition to my shop.
I still have small bits of this wonderful minty green vintage fabric on her headpiece left and really love using it. The fabric on her body with the white background is also a vintage treasure, a Sandvika fabric, made in Norway.
Thank you to all the very kind friends who left me words of understanding and sympathy about my headaches. I am doing great this week with none! Happy days are here again!
I heard it snowed last Friday. Your little snow angel is so cute. I really like your mini quilt. It's so beautiful. So glad to see you are feeling better.

The first snow of the season is especially fun. We are still awaiting our first snow, I'm not sure whether it is with anticipation or dread on my part. Such beautiful rosy pinks and reds throughout the post. Love that last photo.

Jealous of your snow...we do have some on the mountain peaks though. You are my inspiration for the day! Love the cheery pinks, reds and your adorable dollies!! I'm in the Christmas spirit already and so are my teenage daughters-they're wanting to put up the Christmas tree already!! I admit I did put up a small one already. hee hee Have a lovely weekend!

Ahhh Emily, that girl of yours grows prettier every day! Just you wait, she will be a knock-out.
I love the little heart you put on your ladies backside, so unexpected.
Enjoy your snow. I have already had some too, but the ground is still too warm for it to stick.
Hugs

Look at you with your snow already! I've been resisting temptation for quite some time as you know, but you latest Frau has got me. Resistance is futile! I'm off to your shop to see how she feels about coming to live with me...if someone else hasn't nabbed her already! Yikes! Loads of love, Amanda xxx

No, say it isn't so. That fluffy white stuff is probably a month or so away here in northern Illinois. I love snow but I'm not ready yet. Lots of yard work yet to do before winter sets in.
