Oh, what a wonderful visit it was with my mother! I made these while she was here and they were very much inspired by the visit to my husband's grandmother's and her beautiful gardens.
Everywhere you looked there was somthing magical to see.
Or something sweet.
Here Lilly and Gramma were peering at some treasures.
Nothing in the garden seems left to chance, even the birds are well cared for.
Every year she and her gardens appear in magazines, newspapers and tv programs. Here is a spread in Hjemmet from this summer.
And the gardener herself, our beloved "Oldemor" meaning great-grandmother in Norwegian looking marveous for her age of 87. The photo above was taken by Lars Lindberg.
what a wonderfull visit ...
So cute and so sweet!!
Congratulations for this garden!

Sarah, thanks so much for your kind words! I think Oldemors secret is loving what she does. She has been able to create a magical and enchanting garden because she craves being surrounded by beauty.
So happy to hear that your doll arrived and that you love her! I hope she is settling in nicely in your home. :)

I am fairly hopeless with gardening myself so I too am all the more impressed by the knowledge and work that must have gone into her place.

:) Actually, the picture was taken last year when she was 86. But she still looks marvelous. Thanks Marie-Louise for your nice words.
