Saturday I went shopping with my Christmas gift card from my husband and came home with a nice little stack of fabrics.
I went looking for aquas and turquoises but there really wasn't much to find in those colors, but I had much luck in the pinks, yellows, reds and oranges.
The white polkadots on the sunny yellow seemed just right to line this pouch that I made.
This floral fabric is a heavier weight, with a linen feel but I think it is a vintage cotton. It has been in my stash for awhile and it is one of my favorites. I used a bit of vintage trim for the side tab and really like how it looks.
These new pouches are now in my shop where it is looking so sunny and bright. Norway is brightening up these days but we still have piles of snow, absolutely no sign of bare ground, and some mornings it is bitterly cold and frosty.
Mornings like this I am so glad to be able to return to my warm house to de-thaw my fingers which have turned numb from the photo session outdoors.
Before I go and make my son his afternoon snack (well, it is more like a huge meal, he eats so much...)I wanted to show you a most wonderful blog.
Emmiline did an amazing and entirely wonderful feature about my dolls yesterday. Anyone who regularly reads my blog has likely had it up to here with my dolls, I just don't seem to be able to stop making them... but I thought you might enjoy her blog because it gives the most marvelous glimpses of her lovely Norwegian home. Just take a look, you will see!
What great spring pouches! I love the yellow polka dot lining! Thanks for the link to Emmiline.

Your pink and yellow fabric finds are so great- very springy. Good luck on your search for aquas or whatever else you find. You work wonders with everything.
I love the iced rose hips but I can imagine that signs of spring would be welcome about now. I'm off to check out Emmiline's blog- thank you.

Oh Emily, the little pink butterfly is what caught my eye - not that the fabric isn't eye catching - I have a set of the butterfly jewelry from my childhood. Necklace, bracelet and a circle of butterflies pin. Mine are in light blue and are set in silver ... oh did you just bring memories alive!!! I still have the jewelry and I'm 62 yrs old.
I love the pouches, and the vintage ribbon tags are a very nice touch.

YES! Do check out Emmiline's blog! It is delightful, the nicest of eye candy around! I think especially those of you not from Norway will so enjoy seeing her Norwegian home. I just found out that Emmiline is one of Norway's very top interior bloggers. She is so well-known and loved here!
Hugs from Emily ♥

So nice to have such cheerful colors amidst the rather more bland ice and snow. The yellow/white polka dots are great!

Beautiful fabrics, and pouches...but also that soft pick butterfly pin that is pictured in the first few photos is just stunning, and I love the way you've styled those photos with the yellow lamp. Such juicy colors, and what contrast to the frozen outside pictures. I can tell that spring has already sprung inside your house!

Your new fabrics are so pretty and make the most delightful pouches. I love your sweet birds as well - they would like lovely hanging from a branch for Easter.
