Once again I must take you back to the Norske Folkemuseum's annual Christmas market.
I loved these heart baskets in the traditional red and white and these in black and white were also beautiful.
A wreath made out of lichen, simple.
Another one in a heart shape.
This one really took my breath away. Those leaves must be lambs ear. I would love to make one this myself.
I had to show you a bit more of the textile work at the market. Perhaps they will inspire someone for the upcoming Valentine's Day?
thanks so much for sharing these beautiful things with us. This market must be a beautiful place to wander.i have been following your blog for a while and also admiring your beautiful dolls in your shop. i am so impressed by your talent. Even your knitting is so gorgeous ! I do knit, but i am not as good as you are. I would love to make beautiful mittens like the ones you made for your son. I have a book with patterns of latvian mittens, i should give it a try, but knitting with more than one yarn, scares me a bit.
anyways, enough blabbering...have a wonderful New Year

Simpelthen ELSKER dine svart-hvitt bilder. Har prøvd å gi uttrykk for det i desember, men tror ikke det kom fram (sliter litt med typepad-kommenteringen) Klem

I have lambs ear in my garden and you can stick them with special floral glue to a wreath in the summer, make sure they overlap enough everywhere as it might shrink a little while drying..... I'd wrap the wreath up in paper so no light comes to it (and doens't infect the color) and place it on a warm dry spot till Christmas.
