The old year is ending in a fine way. Today I got the most delightful pile of fabrics in the mail from Fabric Shack. Every single fabric on this order is from the new line, Nicey Jane, by the gifted Heather Bailey.
The colors are reminscent of spring and full of fun.
There wasn't space in the package for the entire line, and I regret that.
I have orded a good number of flat rate envelopes of fabric from Fabric Shack. They have excellent prices and an enormous selection of fabrics.
These fabrics really are fresh and full of joy aren't they?
This is just the nudge I needed this time of year, a healthy dose of good cheer all stacked up nicely.
Just to show you that I haven't been just lazing about on Christmas vacation... I have added a few drawstring bags to my shop and have some dolls ready to stuff. This one I made with Heather's debut fabric line, Freshcut.
I am always making bags for myself and my family, so I thought I should share some with my shop too.
I shared a couple more dolls (the first two in line) with the very sweet and talented fabric designer BariJ so she could do a give away, so if you would like to enter just visit her and leave a comment. The last doll in line stayed with me for the moment, her name is Fru Gundersen and she is waiting eagerly in my shop for some near or far destination. She will spread good cheer and joy.
Such beautiful cheery fabric!!! its very vintage looking,... like old sheets or pillowcases! I have to go now,... i need to get some of this fabric! Happy New Year Holiday!!

Such a beautiful blog, the colors are incredibly lush and vivid, they instantly add cheer as I look out my window at the snowy fields! I am blown away by your incredible talent, and creativity. LOVE your projects! I found your blog through a blogging book my mom gave me for Christmas. I am new to the blog world, but just started a business and thought a blog would be helpful! I am looking at these darling totes you made out of the beautiful fabrics, and am thinking "Wow, those would be PERFECT for my clients for party favor totes!!!" I plan classic parties for young children, and like to offer a line of custom, exclusive and more eco-friendly products for children and childrens' events, and your bags are DREAMY!!!! I love them! I will have to look for your shop on etsy. Thank you so much for sharing your creative soul with the world, your blog is a treasure!
Kindly,
Kate

Happy New Year to you Ravenhill! I always love your beautiful blog, amazing pictures!
It's funny,we got the same taste of fabrics, i ordered most of my fabrics from the Fabric shack, her service is so good and the shipping is reasonable. I think it will go up end of this month, i just received an email! So maybe an excuse for me to stash more fabrics!
Greetings from England xxxx

Hi Theresia,
You are too kind! Thank you so much for making my day with your wonderful comments!
So you spend all your money at Fabric shack too? I agree, they are wonderful. I have a fresh stack from there that is waiting to be photographed, washed, ironed and put away. I love it. Lately I have been ordering taupy and woven fabrics in anticipation of the Yoko Saito course I hope to be going to in a month or so. She is coming to Norway!
Hope you are having a great start to the weekend.
