It was definitely my husband's turn for something handknit.
Not only did he wait patiently for them to be finished,
but he even took the time to model them for me.
He had me in fits of laughter over the funny poses and faces he made. Many of the photos were just plain goofy, in others he ended up looking like the bully on the block when he did his impression of a model's scoul. I think I will make him more things to model right away because it was just too much fun, meanwhile he'll be all toasty warm ever time he goes out!
They are beautifull!!! wish I could knit them.

Your Norwegian knitting is so stunning. I'm just no good at knitting nordic patterns, I tend to get all messed up with the different yarns going in various directions.
The earlier picture of Lily doing embroidery is so heart-warming. She seems to have a really good concentration skills.
I hope you are all warm, cosy and well!

Hey - they are lovely. My parents lived in Scotland for a while near a place called Sanquhar and they have a tradition of knitting that is really similar to yours. You might be interested to see this website http://www.futuremuseum.co.uk/Collection.aspx/sanquhar_knitting/

Hi Emily,
Not only are you an amazing knitter, but you have snagged yourself a new age, mitten-wearing, very handsome man!
(Bravo.)
Seriously, those mittens are wonderful.
I love them.

Emily, the mittens are beautiful! Just tell hubby that they are handson though.... don't want him to feel that they are too femine or anything like that! They sure do look soft and warm! Good job! He does make a good model... although, not sure if you want him to quit his day job though! LOL...
