It is about time I get around to showing off these turquoise and red beauties!
I used nearly 5 balls of yarn on these knee socks.
My 8 year old son selected the colors. On our outing last spring we bought enough yarn to make these knee socks, a headband, and a pair of mittens. None of them match. He seems to like to stand out in a crowd.
The heel is a bit funny, but I am overall satisfied with how they turned out. The best part is that his feet are so big now that these socks fit us both!
He was very kind to sit in various poses wearing them so I might show you. I am almost glad it is getting so chilly now so we can put all my handwork to use!
Oh, wow. Those look time-consumingly wonderful! :)

Those are some seriously bright socks! But they are very pretty and look quite warm, which I think is of utmost concern when living in Norway! May his toes be toasty and happy all winter long (and when he grows out of teh socks, may they still be in good enough condition that you can wear them too).

I LOVE them. I love seeing the colors children pick out. They know color. They aren't inhibited about their selections and what they select is usually so RIGHT! Beth

Oh, so beautiful. The color combo is so clever, it's nice that your son knows what he likes and stands for it too. Your knitting is so good looking, all the stitches are even and exactly where they should be.

Your so fast! Hey, nothing wrong with a kid that doesn't like to go with the crowd. He is an individual! One of my nephews used to go to the local o.p. shop (I think you call it) and buy things like coats that no one would think to buy. His one asked him one time if everyone was wearing that kind of coat... he said, "No, but they will be!" Cool kid!
