The visit with my brother zoomed by and he is already back home. I think the kids tired him out a bit. He actually teased me because he said my sewing room didn't look as neat and tidy in real life as it does on my blog. So I thought I would expose my messy side!
Isn't this a delightful array of fabrics spread out all over?
I fail to see how this jumble of ribbons could be considered messy...
So they spilled out a little...
Do you have some lovely creative messes too? Please join me then on my brand new flickr pool: Creative Clutter. I hope that Müriel will post her photos on the group! She got right to work on the fabrics she won on my blog give away. Take a look at what she made! Another place to get a sneak peek at creative spaces is here.
I would like to thank Cassandra for the great interview about my dollmaking! Sarah, of the new website Sewn has me blushing: she features my dolls on the front page heading up her favorites.
This is getting embarrassing... so many features! I really couldn't fail to thank Sharie for another very nice feature too! I am really overwhelmed by all these write ups!
Thank you for the encouragement! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend creating messes too!
You can not call that clutter its art in the making. My craft room has a quilt blocks spread out over the floor waiting for me to start piecing them together with a needle punch spread out over the table of which I'm going to finish today!

Even your clutter looks pretty!

A very pretty mess :) The 'making cake' bribe worked a treat - have to use these tactics during the school hols to get anything done!
Thank you for commenting :D

That is not clutter - that's artistically arranged fabric and ribbons. And it looks great; I'm especially taken with the colours of the ribbons.

its not that much fun if you are too neat!!! i keep my mess contained to my sewing room... but once you are in there... well who knows!!

*grin* I don't even have a sewing room to contain the mess- at times our whole apartment looks like that! Glad you had a good visit with your brother.

That's the best kind of mess, if you can even it call it a mess. I'd rather call it carefree, happy, spontaneous ... art! :)

Thanks for the group invite! As luck would have it, I'm currently having a massive clear-out so will take pics as I go along. Thanks too for the link to Sewn - that's new to me. I just registered for the free digital sub. Thank you!

Ribbons are never clutter. I always like a few hanging down of the shelf.

Only dull women have immaculate craft areas!!! You have to spread things out in order to create - and you create beautifully.
I'm still putting my craft room together, but when I'm done "LOOK OUT"!!!

Clutter is relative... it just means that your hard at work/fun! I figure if someone doesn't like what they see (mess wise) in my sewing room.... then they really don't need to go in! Enough said!
So nice that you were able to visit with your brother! How neat for you and the family! Nothing like a family reunion to make you remember all the fun that you had when you were young too!

How can your clutter be so lovely? Everything you touch becomes a work of art. :)

What a lovely blog. I'm so happy to have found you. Your work is lovely and your children are so dear. Where do you live? You mention it is getting cooler? Well, here in Florida we can sit and watch the mildew grow. It is truly hot and sticky. I am inspired to finally get my blog up and running after seeing yours. Thank you
