I am loving exploring the outdoors with my camera when it is so lush, warm and light.
After a rain it is particularly beautiful.
And here is Lilly in a very vintage spring green outfit made by her grandmother for my little brother in 1972! Wasn't my mom not only good at sewing but also clever to save it all those years? Thank you so very much, mom!
Please forgive me mom for not ironing it... Mom and I joke about how I iron my cloth napkins but not clothes while she irons her clothes and not her napkins. Here Lilly is rolling me a ball while I take her photo.
I was only 3 and a half when my brother wore it but I remember it well. Then my son wore it and now Lilly. I should really appliqué a few flowers and hearts on it to make it more feminine.
Besides photographing the great outdoors and my little one in her vintage duds, I have been a busy doll maker. Fru Ruud, front and center is already sold, but Fru Hansen, on the left and Fru I haven't named her yet are available.
Fru Lauritsen at the head of the line is all smiles and even has a ladybug on her backside!
I hope you are having a good weekend.
Lovely post Ravenhill!

The outfit is just great! And Lilly looks happy to be wearing it!
I agree that the world often looks so much nicer just after it has rained - definitely nicer than when it is raining ;o)
You should check out the Clothkits website - it was around when I was a child and my mum made many of my clothes from their kits, now it has been revived and whilst they have lots of new kits they have also resurrected some of the older ones! The colours and patterns are just great!

Love the crabapple tree, we have always had one in the gardens of houses we have lived.
They are my favourite blossom tree as you get the beautiful green and then the blossom. We had rain here today in Melbourne, Australia (worth a mention cos we don't get much anymore) and the waft of the beautiful smell of it came in through the open doors. It was lovely. Lilly and the other girls are so beautiful also.

Very pretty post, Emily...I love the joy written all over Lily's sweet little face. Wish I would have saved some of the little jumpers I sewed for my daughter when she was three...my grandgirlie, Libby, could wear them now! Your Mom was very smart to save the little outfits she sewed!

Emily, what a fun post...a little of everything! And the overalls are just as great now as they were years ago. I have a few things I made years ago for our kids, stashed away in a box, waiting for "round two" eventually.
Lilly is a beauty! I love her sweet face and those cute "pigtails"!

Oh Lilly looks so sweet in those family heirloom dungarees. What about a plant pot with flowers on the pocket?
Beautiful dolls yet again. :-) I did laugh about her sitting on a lady bird.

Cute little Lilly! Can't believe how much she has changed since last year! Her hair has gotten darker and the freckles are really coming in!
Funny, yesterday at a Memorial Day breakfast, one of the great nephews had a shirt on that one of my neices's little boys wore and she commented on how it had been her son's. In the mean time this was now the 5th little boy to wear it! Great nephew is now 1 year old.
Thanks for the comment, I need to get on track here. I have a few more pictures and then get the dress done to play show and tell! What I need to do is get it done and try it onto Grace while I'm babysitting this week. Then her mommy will be surprised... maybe I will take her picture and put it onto the blog and then tell my DD to read my blog! LoL... sound good?

Lilly's outfit is so cute. It is so fun to have something like that. I dressed both my girls in the same crocheted dress on their first birthday that I wore on my first birthday. It was my great grandmother who made it for me...
