My husband is in line for the computer so I have to make this brief. Yes, we only have one computer.
I just really wanted to show you... I finally cut into my favorite Liberty fabric.
They are all so pretty, but the one on the top is today's favorite anyway. I bought a couple of meters of it since I like it so much.
I am so happy that I finally broke down and made the purchase because I love using it.
It reminds me of chocolate and cream...
I made the bag with two drawstings because I like the way the bag closes with two instead of just one. This birdie bag is in my shop.
I saved the best for last today: Lilly has tiny freckles! (And a dirty mouth from slurping her bowl of homemade soup.)
So NICE fabric :O)

So cute... my FIL tells a story about how when he was young he disliked his freckles soo much that he would try anything to get rid of them! His older brothers told him that if he put morning doo on them they would go away! And mind you, not the wet moister that comes with the morning light! Nope, he put morning cow doo on them! And no it didn't work! His brothers did some pretty mean things to him... at least from the stories he tells! He's 84... so they get rather interesting some times!

Beautiful fabric... and very cute freckles!

Liberty fabrics are gorgeous. I love the old Tana (?) Lawn designs - the fabric was a bit flimsy but the patterns were lovely. (Quite a few years ago I made a quilt using some of my daughter's old clothes together with some Liberty fabrics.)

I have some of that Liberty fabric too but am terrified to cut into it! Those fabrics just have the most incredible drape and feel about them.
Your little girl has the most beautiful eyelashes!

Oh, I missed all the fantastic colours and projects around here. It's good to come back and see all the beauty you've been creating. I covet those markets you find treasures and your ability to use them differently!

Life is so good when you know you have a project containing Liberty. I can remember when I was little feeling as though life couldn't get any better than when Mum was sewing a Liberty something at the machine for me.

Aww sunkisses! My son has a lot being a red head. :-)
Well done for cutting into your Liberty lawn. I know what you mean. I love some fabrics so much I don't like the initial cut of using them. The bag looks fabulous. I am a double drawstring person too. If you make tulips at the ends to cover the knots you can interlock them turning the bag into a shoulder bag.

it is lovely. and who would have thought 15 years ago we would want/need more than one computer in the house!

I love your site! And what a gorgeous little drawstring bag - I especially liked the striped fabric used for the drawstrings, it's a great contrast to the bag fabric.
Cute, cute freckle shot (from a girl with freckles, herself!).
I've added you to my google reader : )

Beautiful gorgeous fabrics, Emily! And your chocolate and cream reference hits the spot!
Your wee lass is pure innocence and pouty hug-me-now with her shy lashes.. Freckles I so adore.. Ever read this?
A little ditty about freckles
(in French I am afraid)
“Taches de rousseur est un mot bien cruel,
pourquoi pas sou des coccinelles,
soeurs de miel,
péchés du Carmel,
amour en dentelle,
frissons de demoiselle,
muettes bagatelles,
aimable missel,
étoiles en caramel,
nuage d'étincelles,
immobile cheptel ?
A bad translation would be:
"Redness spots is a most cruel word.
Why not ladybug's pennies,
honey sisters,
Carmel's sins,
love in lace,
damsel's shivers,
mute baubles,
loveable missal,
caramel stars,
sparks cloud,
motionless flock ?"
Jean-Manuel
Warm hugs from me, - as always uplifted by a visit here!
