Things have been busy here lately. Nothing special, just the daily activities with two children and a husband. We are enjoying signs of spring.
The snow is still covering a larger percent of the ground than I would like though... but the other day my little one squealed: "Look Mommy, grass!" That is a sight for sore eyes after many months of snow coverage.
When I found this incredible book, Yllebroderier, by Ingrid Eggimann-Jonsson, from the library, about wool embroidery I nearly wanted winter to start again.
The link will get you to a site where you may purchase this book if you get the desire.
I think she is so talented and want to try doing this myself... I will just show you a few more photos...
I just wish I was more adept at reading Swedish. It really isn't that different from Norwegian, but different enough that I find it rather tedious.
I am sure you recall the recent swap I told you about in my last post, well, now Anne is hosting a give away of one of my matryoshka dolls if you would like to join in! These two happy mamas, Fru Lind and Fru Blomdal are in my shop.
Love that embroidery -- especially the blue horse. :-)

What an amazing book! So much beauty that can be made by a simple needle and a wee string of wool..
The pink and red birds were just gorgeous...
I should not have seen this, - I'm already way over my head when it comes to books purchased or ordered. Still... LOL

Hi Emily,
Yeahhhh pussy willows!!!! First sign of Spring in my book! Then come the bulbs! I have the greenery from the bulbs up... none of the color yet.
Thanks for stopping by... I will work things thru with the weight. It's the time of year... hard to get motivated sometimes! LoL... except for the negative things!
Love the book. I've been checking out books at the Library lately too. So nice to see what others have come up with.
Have fun...

Hi Emily! Wow...what a great book...the embroidery is amazing! Thanks for sharing the link; my mother is from Sweden and I think she would really enjoy that. Also, I wanted to say 'Thank You' for the fabric I received from you in the scrap swap. The fabrics you sent are just beautiful...and I really enjoyed the candies! =) Thanks again!

Oh, wow...this embroidery book is amazing! The artwork, drawings, colors and stitching are breathtaking. They strike such a chord with me. Unfortunately, I only speak English, but I am so compelled to try to order this book. Perhaps embroidery is all the same language! Thank you for sharing.
