I have realized that you can't have too many doilies stockpiled in your stash. I can't get enough of the pureness and simplicity of it coupled with the beige linen.
This garland is among the many new items I have stocked my shop with today. Lucky for me flea market season is right around the corner so that I can hopefully replenish my dwindling stash of doilies. I took upteen photos of this bunting with my new camera and there weren't many good photos in the bunch. Although it can be frustrating, learning something new is so much fun!
Now that I have a new camera both children have cameras to use. This is my old one which I loved but that stopped focusing properly about half the time I tried to take a macro. My little one is loving being able to use it. The third camera we have is one that is really drop-proof and water-proof. You can clearly see how my little one takes after me in liking to be behind the lense.
luckily digital is so much cheaper to play around with than developing real film. So many creative options for kids these days (good thing or bad thing?)
my mom collects doilies and has always picked them up at garage sales, one year she gave a shoebox full to my sister and me.. i guess I need to follow your example and do something with them!!!!
they are quite striking next to that linen!!!

Love the lace bunting ~ so delicate! I have a stack of lace doilies I can't bear to part with, but they are tucked away in a drawer just waiting for the right project to come along...
Great that the little one is getting used to holding a camera at such a young age!

I think Lily has a new hobby! It should be a lot of fun for her. have you thought about her choosing her fav pic she has taken in a week and putting it into an album so she has 52at the end of the year all of her own work? It will get her familiar with the idea of a portfolio created over time. You will probably see her improve too.

hello Emily!
Thank a lot for your comment on my blog I just have seen because of computer problems...I visit your blog every morning ( when every thing is ok) and I do love your work. This lace bunting is a great idea! and your child so cute!
I've been in Norway many years ago and love your country (except mitges...), reindeers, landscapes, Alta, finebeef eaten in kota ? I don't know how to write it, and would like to come back in winter this time to see it with snow and ice...
Have a happy crafty week and thanks again for visiting.
