After my massage last week I had just time before closing hours to dash into Tannum to see if they had any wallpaper and fabric sample books to give away.
Ladyluck was smiling on me...
These are out of fashion, but there are some pretty pages in these no longer current wallpaper books. They will make colorful backdrops for photos. I could also cut them up and use them for cards.
Do you have any more ideas for me what I might do with the wallpaper sheets?
Anja and Eve have both given me awards! Thank you so much dear friends for thinking of me! Eve is particulary good with wool - whether it is felting the most incredible flowers or knitting up a unique scarf out of her original design. Anja's blog has long been a favorite as it has provided me with a glimpse of her life with small children in Slovenia and she is always making something with her hands.
'This

Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers!' This blog award should be sent to your favorite eight bloggers and they, in turn should forward to eight of their favorites. You should include the text for Proximidade (above) in your announcement blog.
I would like to pass the award on to these talented and friendly bloggers:
Congratulations to you on your efforts to share and extend your hand in friendship to other bloggers!
I wonder if you love the pretty new red, white, pink and aqua fabrics and ribbon trims as much as I do? I used a bit of my birthday money at my favorite shops this weekend. I had been eyeing this fabulous flower trim for ages, but it had seemed a bit pricy. With birthday present cash in hand I felt I could have a bit of fun! I have already put some to good use. Photos and a give away coming soon! Here is an online ribbon shop that I have ordered from if this makes you want some ribbons too.
I would love to find more good sources of fabulous ribbons if anyone has any tips?
Have a happy and creative week!
Lovely fabrics and lovely photos, as usual! I´ve found some nice ribbons over here: http://retrosaria.rosapomar.com/collections/woven-ribbons
Have a nice week! / Petra

Ooohh eye candy over here! You can make everything of wallpaper, as long as it isn't vinyl! I have made wallpaper banners, envelopes to use as a gift wrap or as an envelop. You can make a lot of hearts and hang them in your window to celebrate Valentine. You can use them as letter paper, give your notebook another appearance, glue it on a little chest. Plenty of possibilities, you might need another book!

Greetings. Love the fabric and ribbon. Will have to spend some time at the ribbon site. What can you do with wallpaper? I love to cover boxes in it. Then you can use it for anytime of storage you want. You can make tags for your wonderful dolls out of it,incredible paper airplanes, mobiles, origami balls, and hats. Oh let's not forget paperdoll clothes. :) Cheers.

My mom worked for an Interior Designer when I was quite young and so had acess to old wallpaper books too. I got to use them to make paper dolls and to color in. I've seen some who have used them to wallpaper doll houses with too.
Have fun, let your imagination go...

Hey there:)
What about putting that pretty blue/white damask paper in some frames and do a trio of frames with just the wallpaper...or you could use them as a backdrop for picture collages on some corkboard....

OMG, those ribbons and fabrics are gorgeous, I have to girls at home who are fond of polkadots!!!
ANd that wallpaper is really tempting, you could make enveloppes of it, for gift certificates or collages, I am a vintage wall aer addict, if I had more time, would create more with it (like these ones: http://fleurfatale.blogspot.com/2008/07/hier-is-ie-dan-mijn-give-away-en.html)

Thank you, Emily! The sentiment above that someone created is very pretty and exactly how I feel about your blog, too.
I LOVE the flower ribbon. I believe calicodaisy needs some of that. So pretty, and it goes so well with the flower fat quarter that came with it. -- Michele

That paper is so pretty! We don't even have a wallpaper shop in our town any more! The blue and white is my favorite. Wouldn't that be beautiful fabric?!

What great wallpaper, I was thinking cards right off. You always find such great stuff! Red is my favorite color so I'm loving the fabric and ribbon!

Lovely pictures.
The wallpaper can also be used for origami boxes. There are some tutorials online that are fairly simple. I make a simple version of an origami box and use wallpaper or japanese paper or some other pretty paper.
