Outdoors it is completly white, all day long. Snow and more snow... I don't have cabin fever but sewing fever. I am perfectly happy to be snowed in! A surprise was in the mail for me recently which gave me even more reason to want to sew. Jan sent me a card and a piece of this sweet bunny fabric. Thank so so very much for this fabric lover's treat!
The little bunnies looks so bouncy and jolly hopping amongst the blossoms that it makes me dream of spring.
I am going to use a bit of the bunnies on this WIP (Work in Progress). I am trying to get over my fabric hoarding ways and stop saving everything really special for later. I think the bunnies are going to go nicely with the hens. I haven't worked on this too much because I have been working on a few dolls.
I created Anna Margrethe and Fabel with some of my new supplies.
I gave Fabel's heart on her backside some extra attention just for fun.
Bright colors are marvelously fun to work with this time of year to counterbalance the somber and chilly landscape here. We are fast approaching hip deep snow in our neck of the woods so the kids are spending extra time outdoors.
So there seems to be a never ending demand for more mittens and these felted ones are thier favorites and mine. They are so quick to knit, are so easy to put on, due to the folded cuff and keep the small fingers warm. Hopefully I will show you the finished pair soon. I think I am stuck on this color combo right now though because look at what Lilly and I selected for some new felted mittens for her!!
Your new girls are precious. Happy colors in winter are very necessary. I always do a colorful project in January/February. I love the fabrics in your WIP. Looking forward to seeing the end result.

I also love the wallpapers in the last post - I'd never thought of using wallpaper as photo backgrounds, but that is such a perfect idea. x

oh emily.... your photographs make everything look so beautiful. I showed kayla (with the artist's eye at 11) the rabbit fabric and she said "emily makes everything look so beautiful!"
This year I am going to try to send friends more handwritten letters and cards AND make it a goal to include a snippet of material or something fun inside. Little bits going all over the world!!!
