After the terrible lack of photos and color yesterday today will be full of color and good cheer! I am not sure if If I like the background I gave Bergliot or not, but it is fun to try something new. I wanted to make a bright and sunshiny doll.
Monday I was indulged in a bit of luxury... I had to use my gift card for last year before the expiration - yesterday - my birthday!
Not a shot of me, but the brochure from the aromatherapy massage appointment I had yesterday. It was a lovely gift from my husband.
This bouquet of flowers from my husband is really brightening up our living room.
And today I received a huge birthday surprise in the mail from Mervi! Discovering her enchanting blog last year was a highlight for me. Making friends from all over the globe is my favorite thing about blogging! When you see where one of the fabulous fabrics she sent me is from you might guess her location. Mervi made me this card and if you pop over there she explains the technique.
She wrapped it up in the prettiest handstamped fabric trim!
This is my first Marimekko fabric and it is gorgeous in such deep reds and plum!
This is some dreamy hand dyed wool yarn with the lovelist feel.
Inside the Merrimekko fabric were other extraordinary fabrics. This one looks vintage? I love it.
This fabric has such soft and muted tones with the prettiest blossoms! It certainly seems vintage as well and I am already dreaming of things to make with it. Thank you so much Mervi for making me feel so special!
Finally, a photo for my dear far away family who wish I would alter the ratio of fabric photos vs photos of my children...
Hi Emily!
You are missed on the Street Team!
Happy Birthday!!
I like the cheerful background btw, looks lovely!
