We were off line for nearly two days. I nearly went mad! It was probably good for me, but it is frustrating when you have things to do! I got a few sewing projects done instead. Remeber I showed you my pile of Norwegian hand made sweaters I had thrifted awhile ago?
Well one of them had numerous challenges: missing buttons, holes in the sleeve, a wrist coming apart at the seams, and a neck that was no longer staying sewn down.
I repaired the various holes and seams and then took off all but one button. I then dug into my stash of vintage pewter buttons and found mismatching buttons of the right size.
The sweater is so warm and cozy with a perfect fit. I have always wanted a sweater with mismatched buttons and now I have one of my very own! It is definitely sweater weather as it has gotten bitterly cold lately.
My little one having a picnic in the woods with daddy and big brother the other day. As you can see, we are still desprately in need of snow!
These little babies in a basket were barely in my shop before someone had taken pity on them and offered them a loving home! Thank you!
And these little ones are my latest creations!
I hope that I can find them a good home soon. They are snug in thier little quilts made from Japanese Lecien cotton fabrics which are my favorite at the moment.
I like your cardigan and the different buttons work beautifuly.x

Oh- I was so afraid when I read the title of your post! Great attack work, and congrats. :) Good to have you back online, too. I'm off to my parents for Thanksgiving and am wondering how I'll survive offline that long... ;)

How great that you could "save" the jacket.

Who can resist your babies? I notices the pewter buttons and just love being mismatched. You're a master sweater repairer.

Beautiful cute dolls in sleeping bags.
I think picnics are one of the best meals you can have. So much fun.
Well done for reviving the old sweater. There is something so comforting about snuggling down with a soft comfy woolie by the fire on a quilt. :-)

I love your little dollies, I'm sure they will all find wonderful homes very quickly.
Also great to see that you have given an old jumper new life, I'm sure the original creator would be proud.
Have a great day.
Warmly Lenna

Little Agnete is gone! She was so pretty! My favorite of yours so far. There is nothing like a comfy, warm and very old sweater to put on with everyday wear or even with jammies. I bought a thrifted sweater with lots of striped colors a couple of years ago. I love it still. I will wear it until it becomes a rag. Nothing like being cozy in an old worn out sweater when it's freezing outside. Happy Thanksgiving...Emily.

Have just found your blog via Erna's favourites. I've read all the way back to July and am now full to the brim of gorgeous things - but just where did you get the red and white chicken fabric - I love it. Your daughter is just adorable. I'll be back.

Your babies are beautiful. The ones that you stitch and the ones that you're mummy to.

Another comment from me to say that we were challenged to do a "& things about ourselves" post and we are passing it on to you. Hope you don't mind.
