These are the socks I am working on now, this time for me. Mom gave me the pretty yarn.
I don't have a lot to say today. I am speechless after getting the test results back from our dr. We all still have major intestinal problems despite taking strong meds to remedy it. I won't get into the details beyond that it means we are stuck on a very strict diet of incredibly dull food for who knows how long. I can't eat sweets or treats of any kind and neither can my children. So I will continue with my textile and fiber treats - ok and the occasional pretty button or two...
These came in the mail the other day from Stockintrade.
If you want some more eye-candy, visit these new blogs that I have added to my blogroll and am rather crazy about: Quilt Otaku , Oiyi's Crafts, and Mairuru. Maybe it is looking forward to my long anticipated swap package arrival from Japan that is fueling this Japanese influence?
No candy? Horrible, hope you'll get well soon and paint and have fun in the mean time. Love these photos!

Aww, I hope you and your family are feeling better. I don't like the plain food part of stomach bugs... but sometimes I guess it's necessary. Thanks for those links...I'm going to check them out right now! xox

The pomatomus looks great! Man, I love that pattern. Now that everyone's feeling better, maybe you can come out to the Oslo Stitch-n-Bitch on Tuesday. (Our Monday night meetings have been on hiatus for a little bit, but Tuesdays in Vika are fun, too.) :)

Very sorry to hear the whole family's been laid low by intestinal problems. I hope that you'll soon be better and can resume a normal diet.
As always, your pictures are a visual feast!

Textile and fabric treats are good medicine.
Wonderful yarn too.
Have a great holiday weekend and good luck with the medical stuff.

Emily, so sorry to hear your feeling poorly. Hopefully it will be gone with the wind.... (with more than one meaning there!) And the entire family? Well, what goes around comes around I guess... take care, get some rest and at least remember that eventually it will pass! And then you can get back to the good foods of life!

Thank you so much to everyone for such warm and kind words wishing us better health! We feel pretty good when we eat right, it is only when we stray that we feel lousy...
Jan, there are so many ways to do socks! I have only made socks from top down. I guess the toe up socks are really fun to do too though! I would love to see what socks you make!

I'm sorry to hear you're still suffering with your bug - I hope your tummies settle down soon. I looked at the blogs you recommended which are very inspiring, I especially like Oiyi's Crafts, she makes me want to take up knitting!

oh emily, i'm so sorry to hear you are all on very limited diets. i admire you, being able to put up with it- i would find it so very difficult, not being able to eat what i wanted.
but i do like the idea of being able to substitute with fabric and buttons instead... you have the right idea!
