My girl is going to really be able to get things accomplished whatever it is she decides to do in life. The playground recently got a load of fresh sand and the kids are just thrilled. Our hallway is turning into a mini-sandbox though and I can't say I am so happy about that.
I just love rain-drenched flowers. They look so fresh and maybe the little water droplets are reminiscent of appliqué?
Spring is just so lovely, rain or shine! In Norway they say: There isn't such a thing as bad weather, just bad clothes. So pull on those rainpants and boots and zip up your slicker for a fun time in the mud and water. There is actually few things that kids love more outdoors! Please forgive my exhuberance, the winter was long and dark in Norway and the lighter days, buds on the trees and flowers in the garden are oh, so welcome! I might even forget about sewing and knitting for a little while, but not too likely.
aww it looks like a wonderful day!!!! happy monday!!!

I also like to quote that saying to people over here... Children over here (in Scotland) don't play much outside if the weather is bad, which is quite often, but Maja is always out in her waterproofs... One day she was out playing in pouring rain, she came and asked me why noone else was out. I told her because the weather was really bad... she just stared at me, looking like a big question mark, and said "but it's just raining"... that just made me realize that the children don't really mind a bit of rain and wind, it's the grown up that teaches them that you don't go out to play in such weather... I can't wait to move back to Norway... and see kids out in all types of weather! (woops.. this was a bit longwinded...)

I grew up in Washington State. Rain and mud is what it's all about! There is something so beautiful about rain drops on spring flowers.

Hurray for spring! I love your little one's hat. I too am happy to see spring once again, and love to see the garden after a good rain...it all seems so fresh!

Growing up in Washington and then Oregon you played whenever you could get outside! We used to put on our boots and raincoats and splash all the way to school and back in the little streams or ditchs. It was Heaven. Besides if you don't have rain/snow it doesn't turn green! That is unless you use sprinklers. LoL... yes, as Tonje said we adults have to realize that kids would play outside in all weather, we tend to "rain" on their parades some times. As long as they are dressed for it, let them have fun. One of my best memories of my kids is during Summer Rain Storms. They would go outside and splash around and play until they were all wet and then come inside dry off and look for Rainbows.
