Here she is radiant with good health again! We are going to share some of our day with you! These photos are just a few hours old!
Signs of spring were everywhere we looked today as Lilly and I made our way across town to "open nursery school". We take the bus a half hour to get to this lovely place for kids and their caregivers to play, chat, sing songs and eat lunch.
We have lovely conversations on the trip over and there is always a lot to look at.
This flag is always flying to welcome us to the fun play time. This is a wonderful service sponsored by the local government to provide the few stay-at-home parents with an opportunity to get together with other ones.
On our stroll home, Lilly wants to walk herself instead of sitting in the stroller. She does often hang onto the side...
...but not for long. You can't hang onto the stroller when there are fun rocks to climb!
Here is our first sign of spring: the street sweeper! That means they aren't expecting any more snow or ice on the roads. It is now safe to clear off the gravel that was liberally distributed all winter long.
Another sure sign of spring: MUD! We have a bit of this after all the rains lately.
Lastly, one of the best signs of spring: the new shoots!
It's lovely to see spring from someone who is in a different country to me. We are a bit ahead of you here in the UK, although we had snow at the weekend, but it was very short.

How sweet! We loved the åpen barnehage in our area. A surprisingly different concept for me, but it was so great. I encourage every new mom to try it when their little ones start toddling. And it was a great place for me to practice Norwegian :). Thanks for sharing your day with us! Oh, and I love how Lilly's hat looks kind of like a hops blossom... :)

Emily, yes, it looks like you've got Spring coming your way! LoL we had a slight bit of snow yesterday... nothing to worry about, just big dark clouds and a bit of sleety stuff. I guess the mountains got some white that actually stuck to the ground though.
Lilly's hat is cute! Is that one you made?
It looks like an acorn hat!

That open nursery school thingy sounds great. I might have to take Susie to something like that when we move to NOrway!

She's such a cutie!
You know I used to work in Bøler once. I really liked it there.

Lovely photos! We lived in Norway(near Stavanger) when my son was a toddler and we travelled for 40 mintues each week to attend an English speaking playgroup. What a lovely country you have. I hope to come back and visit some time! Love your matroyska softies - they are so sweet.
