Last week Melissa came in to Oslo to visit with me! I took her around to a few shops I thought she would like, inspire and provide her with fabrics and notions. We had such fun and look at the beautiful hand made linen bag Melissa gave me! The bag is perfect for me as it is a classic dark color on the outside and the inside is such a pretty and fun floral print!
Soon you can get yours too as she just announced she will be stocking her shop with gorgeous bags like these! I can tell I am going to get a lot of use out of mine as besides being so sophisticated and smart looking has tons of space for what I always bring along with me: knitting, wallet, water bottle, kleenex, etc.
There is more! The very thoughtful and kind Melissa generously shared a vintage box of treasures with me! The bag was bursting with vintage threads for my embroidery: of linen (!), cotton mouliné, wool AND silk. There were many pieces of lace, crochet hoots, knitting needles, ric rac, and wonderful vintage knitting patterns and embroidery designs to trace.
Emily, I just stumbled across your site (link from tinyhappy) and I'm loving it! My sister and I are hoping to make it to Norway in the next few years (we're 1/4 Norwegian :) so it's wonderful to see what we have to look forward to. Keep up the beautiful blogging!

I bet getting that bag and looking at each vintage treasure in it was just like Christmas morning! How fun. Is your brain already coming up with ideas of what to do with all? When I get a pile of new treasures, I sometimes lose sleep thinking of everything I want to do with it!

What fun for you, what a nice surprise. Enjoy your bounty! Question? Is that your full address on the bottom of the email? Jean
