I check my blog stats most days. That tells me which pages are linking to my page. I do this because I guess I am just plain curious, and I always love to become acquainted with new crafters/artists/moms. One time I found Anja this way and left her a comment about her beautiful photos.
I used to be a terrible lurker. I pretty much never left any comments. I started to when I began my own blog because then I realized how much those comments mean! It is a wonderful way to connect with other like-minded people not to mention what a lovely pick-me-up an encouraging comment can be for a stay-at-home mom who isn't particularly appreciated by society for doing the job of mothering.
Anja sent me this adorable handmade creature and beautiful card pictured above in gratitude for making the very first comment she had received on her blog. I have never known anyone from Slovenia before and I was so touched by her gesture and reminded once again how much we all thrive on positive feedback. Of course I sent a little gift in return to Anja, and she should get it soon.
Congratulations on the opening of your shop and good luck for the future.

Love your blog and check it almost every day for several months now but I've been to shy to leave a comment. But after what you've said....and while I just began my own blog too... You make such beautiful things the Matruska's are too sweet. Love everything you're so inspiring!

Oh, dear, do you really see how often I stop in? It might look like I have nothing to do all day, but I work from my computer on deadlines, and now that I have found blogging, when I need a break, I start to scroll through my bookmarked blogs and sometimes land more than once in the same place. I know, walking would be a healthier distraction for me, but you know how that is... -- Michele

You hit the nail on the head - comments absolutely make my day! Your shop looks great, too!

What a lovely gesture - by both of you. :)
I do try to leave comments on the blogs I visit, but am not always as disciplined as I want to be. In fact, I think this may be my first comment on this blog, despite being a fairly regular visitor.
This, however, is an excellent reminder of leaving that comment. :)
