Bright and cheery! Here is a look at a project completly out-of-keeping with the season. It is coming along but I don't know where I am going with it.
The flowers I cut off of a thrifted pillowcase. The squares, rectangles, and circles are from the fabulous Heather Bailey Freshcut fabric collection. I still have more french knots to make in the flowers' centers.
(You still have time to post a comment on the Kimono craze and give away if you want to be in the drawing!)
Wow !I love the colors. What great combinations, it's gorgeous and I can imagine how much more beautiful it will be quilted.I am so new to hand quilting though I wouldn't know what template to use. I am also a novice at embroidery. I learned a stitch from the book, "Hip to Stitch", called a colonial stitch. It is similar to the french knot, but I have had other embroiderers tell me it is easier?? Can't wait to see where you go with this.

Isn't it fun to make stuff that are just beautiful and you don't know what they'll end up like? :-)
