I couldn't help but buy these varegiated and very colorful embroidery flosses. Sad to say though I don't really know what I will do with them yet. I think some other crafters perhaps are quite clever and just purchase what they know they need. I seem to do things the other way around. I knew I needed these flosses but I am still pondering what I will be making with them.
Here I am playing around and seeing how the colors emerge on the fabric as I stitch.
I am still not sure how I will be using these threads. More experimentation is needed.
Mom and I spotted this sweet emboidery when we went to the flea markets this summer. She was patient and thoughtful with me as I took photos, holding things up and waiting while I snapped here and there. We both liked the innocence of this embroidery and how sweet that you can still see the markings of the pattern on the fabric. I always wonder about how long ago this might have been made and by whom.

My cupboards and draws are full of things I have needed and bought, but not necessarily known what I would do with it. There's fabric, wool, embellishments... all sort of things in there without a project attached.
The embroidery thread is beautiful, I love the colours in it. I'm curious to see what you decide to do with it (or whether it gets 'filed' in a drawer like it would at my place!)...

Beautiful floss. I usually buy the floss first and figure out what to do with it later. That's why I have so much floss. :-/ Sometimes even the practice pieces can turn into something great. You never know. Great find!

I've been in a variegated thread mood lately, and yours is really beautiful. What a fun way to use it. Make sure to show us when you finish your "picture".

Hi Emily!
What pretty colours!
I think a lot of crafty people/artists buy things when they see them and have that "I will use it one of these days." thought pop into their heads. I always figure if I don't get it when I see it I will regret it when I need or want to use it and then I don't have it or can no longer get it. So now, when I see something and the "thought" pops into my head I get it.
It works for me...LOL!
Thanks for sharing!
Have a great week!
Lois
