Sebstian has started Judo this fall.
Here they are ready to bop or crash into each other with the soft toys. This is my son's idea of a great time! He just loves it. Watching him made me smile to see his great pleasure in learning, concentrating and using his body.
Lilly thinks it is fun to watch me make her a skirt on demand. I love it. I am just too happy to oblige! She really did watch me much of the time, and sometimes she she helps. She loves to push the backwards stitch button for me. Once she tired of watching me she got out her doll and did a bit more sewing on it.
She likes the new skirt so much that she has worn it daily since making it. Now it is in the laundry. Everyone thinks my children are a bit odd as they love to go barefoot until late in the fall. You can see the fall leaves on the ground indicating the coolness in the air, but they don't mind. They rarely get sick either! I guess they are half viking and that would explain it.
I wanted to show you Bente and her baby even though they are already spoken for. I used woven Japanese fabrics for them and it was rather strange for me not to use more colorful fabrics. I have my team to thank for that. Bente and baby were my entry for the challenge theme: minimalism. The weekly challenge is really helping me to dare to try new things. Now I have even gotten so brave as to add some new things to my shop which aren't dolls!
