For years I stumbled through crocheted edgings every time a sweater called for it. Now I certainly wouldn’t say that I have mastered crocheting, but I would say I learned to crochet a few years ago. It came in really handy when I wanted to have a project to work on while nursing my little one. I couldn’t very well knit with potentially dangerous, 2mm double-pointed needles for fear of poking the baby!
With the exhaustion and fogged up brain while nursing I took to making countless corkscrew scarves. Simple. No fear of losing my stitches. No fear of stabbing my baby. I was pleased to find something to do while lying in bed nuring. I did miss knitting though!
This Christmasy red photo shows one I gave a away for Christmas last year, made from a really fuzzy mohair.
